Inventory management of small Forest produces using RFID
In Madhya Pradesh (India), the government, under the aegis of department of forest, collects the Tendu leaves (a small forest produce) through the cooperative societies, process the leaves and sell it to contractors. The system as a whole is completely manual. The bid process takes place in a year, and the contractor has to lift at list one-fourth of his total commitment every quarter, otherwise he is penalized. The stock is kept in warehouses scattered over the district. The complete monitoring is done at the headquarter level, located at Bhopal (capital city of MP).
